The Fine Art of Imagination
Thank you.

Other trompe l'oeil murals and works of art by jonsson :
The title of this
painting is a play on words.  The tree is called a Cypress, the place is called Cyprus.  There is a certain mystery about these trees, which grow here in California as well as in other areas having a Mediterranean climate.  Up close, each of these trees has a randomness about it, looking strong but as if the tree grew only through some sort of miracle.  When seen in a group, there is a certain grandeur about
them -- it's as if when they're together they make more of an impact, perhaps they find their strength in numbers.

Jonsson:
"I wanted to capture the silence that surrounds these trees, the feeling that they are shrouded just like they are when it's foggy.  Their strength is always present, always there even when the fog hides them."
