"I used a combination of color theories for these paintings including what might be called 'classical color theory'. That's what the Renaissance masters used to achieve certain effects with color and to achieve the realism they were after. I am, of course, pursuing the capture of memory,
including feeling, so I wondered what would happen if I combined my theory with theirs. The resulting colors (although they are not as sharp on the Internet) were spectacular. I don't own a cabin or know anyone with one, however, the feeling I was after is present in the piece."
