The Fine Art of Imagination
Other trompe l'oeil murals and works of art by jonsson :
This lovely home is located in Central France, in the small town of Montbron.  The town itself dates back to 1200 AD, and the home at left is several hundred years old.   Interestingly, the ceilings in this beauty are easily 15 feet high.  The drawing was created to commemorate the Montbron home for my hosts (a senator and his wife) .

Jonsson:
"Occasionally I am asked if I create drawings of  patrons' homes.   Well, on
occasion.   In addition to commissioned work though, I draw (more so than paint) while I am traveling...  During my first visit to Montbron I fell in love with this home.  It was so different from anything I'd ever seen in the United States, so I just had to draw it.   While I was sitting there in the French sun sipping wine and drawing, and boy came up to me, pointed at the drawing and (to my non-french understanding ears) said, "Ah, la Maison Montbron", hence the title of the drawing."
