TOPIC ONE: IMAGINATION

In this section you'll begin to learn how to draw and paint directly from your imagination by studying how your imagination works.  You'll learn how to apply what you explore here, revolutionizing your art.

TOPIC TWO:  HOW TO  SEE vs. HOW YOU SEE

We all think that the way we see the world is reality. Truth is, we are each seeing our own (that is, we own it) individual reality. When you're making art. this is a very important distinction to keep in mind. When you are creating from imagination, this is of the utmost importance.  From Topic Two, you'll learn all about point-of-view, particularly yours.  You think you already know all about it.  Get ready.

SECTION THREE:  LEARNED SKILLS

This part of the workshop will help you refine your skills by re-learning some of the basics, particularly in the areas of painting, drawing and conceptualizing.

SECTION FOUR:   BLACK AND WHITE AND COLOR

This part of the workshop will help you understand 'value'.   Your ideas about black and white and color will be changed forever.

Level One workshops meet Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 am - 4:00 PM, with a half hour break for lunch (included) each day.   A materials list will be provided to you via email once you enroll.   Please bring a notepad or laptop with you for any notes you may wish to take.   The pace will be brisk.
